Vermont Sticky is a proud sponsor and partner of many non-profit organizations in the Gunnison Valley.

Nothing is more important to us than family and community, and we will continue to play an active role in supporting the following organizations.

Adaptive Sports center

“The Adaptive Sports Center enhances the quality of life of people with disabilities through exceptional outdoor adventure activities. The successful programs the ASC provides are inclusive to families and friends, empower our participants in their daily lives and have a positive enduring effect on self-efficacy, health, independence and overall well-being”

Since 2004, we’ve been personally and professionally involved with the ASC. We’ve donated products for the annual fundraiser and volunteered many hours to make side dishes and desserts created with our maple syrup. We frequently supply maple syrup for meals enjoyed by groups that stay at the ASC.

Crested Butte Avalanche Center (CBAC)

“The Crested Butte Avalanche Center’s (CBAC) sole purpose is to prevent the loss of life, limb, and property to natural and triggered occurrences of avalanches in the backcountry surrounding Crested Butte.”

By issuing daily avalanche advisories, including mountain weather forecasts, avalanche danger ratings, expected avalanche problems, travel advice, and forecast discussion, throughout the winter season -- CBAC is an invaluable resource to the Crested Butte community.

Vermont Sticky donates items and prizes for their annual fundraising event. Additionally, we provide warm thermos’ with hot cocoa at the annual Beacon Brush Up event, which is an open and free event for the community to support guided practice with avalanche rescue gear.

Gunnison Trails

“Gunnison Trails is a non-profit trail advocacy organization established to assist land managers and other organizations and stakeholders, in maintaining existing trails, educating users on responsible trail-based recreation, and pursuing new opportunities for biking, running, and hiking trails which promote sustainable trail use throughout Gunnison County.”

Here at Vermont Sticky, we spend the majority of our free time biking, running, and hiking around the Gunnison Valley. We are grateful to Gunnison Trails’ for keeping our trails in excellent shape, while also advocating for new trails each season. We have participated in “Pennies for Trails” since 2016, where we donate a penny of each profit to the organization. Each spring, summer, and fall, we devote time working hard to construct and maintain trails, while also supporting fundraising events.

Crested Butte Nordic Center

“CBNC provides individuals of all ages and abilities the opportunity to learn, enjoy and improve in the sports of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.”

Each year, Vermont Sticky donates maple syrup, maple hot cocoa, and hydration powder to keep employees, volunteers, and participants powered during the many events the Crested Butte Nordic Center hosts. Whether it's offering maple syrup to volunteer crews stationed along the 40-mile Grand Traverse ski course, offering a cup of warm maple hot cocoa to volunteers along the trail, or providing our hydration drink mix in water bottles during trail running races -- we are honored to help power our community’s many athletes and their adventures.

CB3P

The CB3P is a grassroots triathlon race in the heart of “off-season” in Crested Butte when the weather is generally snowy/windy/cold. The race consists of a ski (pole), a bike (pedal), and a boat (paddle). Proceeds are all funneled to other non-profit organizations around the Gunnison Valley. Vermont Sticky is delighted to provide prizes for competitors of this physically and mentally challenging race.

We feel grateful to have nestled into this small mountain town high in the Rocky Mountains with our roots deep in the rich soil of northern Vermont.

It’s a sweet life!
